One great adventure activity in Florida

One great adventure activity in FloridaFlorida is always tagged as “The Sunshine State”… because indeed it is true… but there is more to Florida than its beaches… Florida became famous in the 80’s because of the Miami Beach episode…the Baywatch series that reached as far as some parts of Asia.

Beautiful, alluring and scanty clad women passed to and fro on the television screen- remember this television series with David Hasselhoff. Then people all over the world just flocked to Florida to be in one of the world’s famous beaches in Miami. This is the power of television advertisement. The power of fame…

But Florida has more to offer than its beautiful beaches. After beach combing for days then may another activity like an adventure would be more like to your taste.

Talking of movies… have you watched the movie-The Jaws? Whoa! Indeed I am afraid of water because of unknown creatures that might harm us. Sharks in particular. Yet, one great activity is getting up close and personal with the most vicious fish specie in the water- the shark.

You can choose from the various fishing charter in the state of Florida. And get one great experience with stingray, hammerhead, tuna, marlin, wail fish, wahoo and a lot more.

Deep fishing is one wonderful activity everybody can enjoy. The whole family can come and enjoy this great adventure. I really thought that fishing is one tame activity. But being able to participate on deep fishing in Miami waters, my opinions were change. The hilarity of being able to watch live fish, swaying and struggling in front of you really raised my adrenalin.

Try deep fishing in the waters of Miami, Beach and South Beach. The charter we choose in Miami Beach was air conditioned and trained service crew. The leader of the group Andy is a world class shark catcher and had been featured in many television shows already. Scientists who were studying the behaviors of sharks go to Andy to ask for help and Andy’s opinions. Andy is an expert in charter fishing and has caught so many big fishes already. Sharks included!

This is one experience I will never exchange for anything. Now, I am planning to go back for more. Only here in Florida.

More than the beaches and the sand

More than the beaches and the sandFlorida is already known as the ‘sunshine state’, where you experience all year round sunshine and its beautiful beaches. This state also has numerous places to go to. You can enjoy its wide varieties of attractions in their big cities. This is just some of the reasons why you shouldn’t miss Florida in your list of the places for your travel destination.

The two of the big cities that you should visit in Florida are Miami and the Fort Lauderdale. Among the two cities, Miami has the highest population in Florida. Miami in all aspects is an ideal place to visit; in the first place the city has been ranked as one of the cleanest cities in the United States. If you are someone who is into arts and museums, you can always choose from the museums that Miami have. You can choose to go to the Miami Art Museum, the Frost Art Museum, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and the Miami Science Museum. If you are into entertainment and the performing arts, you can go to the Florida Grand Opera, Ziff Ballet Opera House to name a few of the venues where you can opera or ballet shows and so on. And you can watch some outdoor musical events at the Bayfront Park Ampitheater. Miami is also famous for numerous parks; one of the most popular parks that you can find here is the Bayfront Park.

On the other hand, the city of Fort Lauderdale is called the ‘Venice of Florida’; it is called as such because it has a complicated canal system in the city. This is also where most cruise ships embark for their destinations in South America and the Caribbean and so on. There is also the Henry E. Kinney Tunnel which you can travel underneath its river, the New River and the Las Olas Boulevard. This city is also home of the world’s largest drive-in movie cinema, it has thirteen screens all in all, and this is located at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop. The swap shop is also a flea market both outdoor and indoor. You can also go to its aquatic complex which has a museum, a theater and a library in it; this is the International Swimming Hall of Fame. There is also an exhibit about the ecosystems of the park, you can find at the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
